Im trying to move some Landsat TM previously used in TNTMips 6.9 and ArcGIs 9.3 with Romanian Stereo 70 Dealul Piscului to qgis ?
Do you have some hints?

Hey, Jan:  Being in Europe (Portugal) on what i guess you might call a "smallholding" (42ha), Cute Farm sounds pretty cool to me; thanks for putting me on to it!

Only:  having done the download, i don't see any way to run it on my Mac.  An .EXE file, accompanied by a bunch of .DLL files… No clue in the ReadMe or on the wiki about how i might install it, if that is even possible on Mac, or am i missing something?  /w

Hm, sorry. Did not know you are on Mac. I fear you need to compile it
from the source (or find someone who could compile it for your OS).
Unfortunately I have no Mac and therefore can't build it.

I've got it built on Mac in case anyone wants a copy.

Lee,

http://sourceforge.net/projects/cutefarm/

Probably you can have a look at this CuteFarm and see can use it for
forest records and inventory. It is SQLite database so it can be
easily use for QGIS. I think this program can probably even Spatialite
file, however you can not view or see the spatial attributes.

(i always manipulates my spatialite database with Firefox Sqlite
Manager to do my data admin).

Hi,

Look at his text (below) from LinkedIn ESRI Forestry GIS

Amazing, You share your experience, you pay ESRI $100.

Seriously. Have a look at the end part of the text, re: "how GIS has
helped you solve a problem or bring value to your forestry
organization".

It might be useful to what we are going to achieve in QGIS for Forestry.

Thanks,

Noli

to your forestry organization.

- Demonstrate tools, integrations or solutions that improve forest management.
- Describe a model that you used for analysis.
- Share application designs for office, web, or field GIS users.
- Show your lidar or imagery processing workflows.
- Explain your approach to data management and editing.
- Share successes leveraging GIS using spatial optimization.

You may want to consider also this: http://www.regmas.org
It calculates optimal decisions for farmers using the open source glpk
optimisation library taking GIS and space explicitelly into  account.
It is for research models, not for a single farm, but you may be interested
in the code..
