Hi all, I have installed QGIS Desktop 1.7.4 and current QGIS server onto
Ubuntu 11.10. I have created a test.qgs file with absolute paths and Server
Capabilities enabled. It has two shape file layers which work perfectly in
Desktop. Then cp to cgi-bin. I have wms_metadata.xml and qgis_mapserver.fcgi
in the same directory. When I run GetCapailities the test.qgs file info
comes with with project title and my email etc but no layer information. I
have tried copying test.qgs to cgi-bin and also symlinking. I have tried
storing my shape files in home directory and on separate partition. Of
course when I try load this WMS layer into QGIS Desktop all I get is the
project name but zero layers. Please any suggestions much appreciate to get
this working. I'm sure it is something simple. By the way I am only 4 or 5
days into using Ubuntu/Linux. Having issues is forcing me to learn more and
more as I try new things but could you please make any suggestions without
too many broad assumptions. Thanks.
