[Qgis-user] User error or bug? (Vector Symetric Difference)

Hey, folks -- I'm a fairly new QGIS user trying to run the amusingly misspelled "Symetric Difference" vector tool against two vector layers. Unfortunately, whenever I do, the CPU spikes to 100% and QGIS seizes up, producing no output. Same problem with "Union," though other Vector tools seem to work okay.

I'm new to QGIS, so I wanted to check and see whether I was missing something obvious before filing a bug on it. http://hub.qgis.org/issues/5626 sounds somewhat similar, but I'm running on local files without a PostGIS back, so it might not be the same.

Thanks!

Adam
