Hi Carlos

I had the same problem, there is a workaround. Save your layer style, then open the style file in any text editor and change the field name between the double quotation marks. Save as a different file and load that style file in the new layer.

Hi all, specially developers

QGIS 2.0.1 is great! I'm using it every day at work and i'm doing something
frecuently, that i'd like help me to automatize:

1. There is a vector layer with style defined by a field.
2. Add another vector layer with same style, but defined by another field.
3. Copy style from layer 1 to layer 2: categories-values are copied, but as
the name field is not same, layer 2 gets white, so i have to select the
correct field... BUT, a problem: defined colors go out, so i have to define
them again.

Request: Next version Could consider change field (in this situation)
without lose the style? Or there is some way to do it in 2.0.1 (on Ubuntu
12.04)?

Anxiously

Carlos

PD. I know it: i have to change name of fields in both two layers to
same... but it is not an option in this case.

PPD Sorry if my English is bad.
