[Qgis-user] Size Scaling of Line Symbols?

I want to know whether there is a way to scale the thickness of a line
layer based on the underlying data. Thought "Size scale field" option
in the Style dialog would do it, but apparently this only works for
point layers? Please let me know if there is a way to do this (other
than manually adjusting each class) that I am missing.
