[Qgis-user] Could not find exercise data

I installed 
Qgis 1.8 and its latest training manual release. I also downloaded qgis sample 
data but following the training manual the data used for the training is not 
found in the sample data folder e.g.  I was frustrated following this 
instruction 
Click on the Browse button and navigate to the file 
exercise_data/streets.shp
(in your course directory). What I found in the directory is Alaska folder. 
What do I do please.
