[Qgis-user] lost 'fetch python plugins' and vector menu

In the terminal, any text appears after you hit Enter key? Some sort of
warning, error, etc?

Hi Yes, 13.04 Raring (32-bit).

Re from terminal.  I tried typing in Qgis from the terminal and it launches
the same as from the icon.

Tried that, still no luck - no fetch python plugins and no openlayers
plugin.

sudo apt-get update

The plugin install has been merged into the plugin manager.

The API has also chmaged so all plugins need to be updated. This is why you
are missing some of the plugins you used to have.

Hi Robert

I have the same problem (I'm trying to get Openlayers plugin but also don't
have the "Fetch Python Plugins" menu option, and can't get help anywhere,
been through the same methods as you.  I'm on Raring and 1.8 or 1.9 and same
problem on both.  I've tried for 2 weeks to fix but cannot. Let me know if
you find the secret.  There's a fix but it doesn't work for me.
