SpatialLite is built into QGIS :) 

 

I was going to write a query for you but seems I did it in the past :)

Just change STContains to STIntersects

If you can add them to something like SpatialIte it will be easier.

What type of dataset are you using.  You can do this in Python in QGIS
but a SQL query might be easier.
