The new Add CRS is a little buggy. Here's how to make it work:
Hit Add CRS,
it will add a blank CRS to the list, select it,
now enter a name and custom proj line
Hit Add CRS again
This time it will be placed in the list above
You will probably end up with an extra blank line which can now be deleted.


If you hit just enter data and hit Add CRS your custom one vanishes.
Once it's in the list, you can exit the dialog and it will be available
for use. You are correct the Save button no longer exists.
