[Qgis-user] Problems with date fields from Postgis + QGIS

Hi Jürgen,

It works with ae9048a (build 107 from OSGeo4W). A NULL value is correctly updated in the table, as is a valid date.

What is odd is, if you set the date field edit widget to LINE EDIT then the field is populated with a NULL by default (or a date if you enter a date string). However, if you set the edit widget to a DATE/TIME widget then the field is automatically populated with today's date. If you don't touch the field then it is populated with a NULL when you commit the change but if you open the calendar popup or use the arrows to change the date then the field is updated with the value selected.

Is this the default behaviour? Is this the Qt defined behaviour of the date widget?

Ross

Please verify if e605ad65 solves it.
