[Qgis-user] Problem installing on Mac Mavericks

I am having a problem installing QGIS on a new Mac Mini with Mavericks. 
  I installed the compete GDAL, but when I click to install QGIS, I get 
an error message saying it needs GDAL 1.1; included in GDAL complete.

I did a second successful install of GDAL, but get the same message when 
trying to install QGIS.

Has anyone seen this problem and have a solution?
