[Qgis-user] Partitioning an Ortho?

Hello List,

I have a large, (4.GB), .sid file which I would like to edit somehow so 
I can use several smaller sections of the file.  I checked the user 
guide but did not find anything?  Is it possible?

I'm using Win 8 OS, and just recently Qgis 2.2

Thanks for reading my request and hope someone can point me in the right 
direction.
