[Qgis-user] Shape file displays distorted when panning

sometimes appear distorted when panning or zooming:

There is no problem in Qgis 1.8 and since I experience it with several shape
files in Qgis 2.2 I conclude that it is not a file issue.

Can it be some of the rendering options - I might have changed something, is
there a way to reset all options?

Can it be a newly installed plugin?
