[Qgis-user] unable to open the QGIS Tab

Hi,
I am unable to open one normal blank page itself, without any tab by double clicking over desktop QGIS icon.

As per my observation it is just like capability related issue. 

My laptop os is win7. And make of laptop is fisitgu make. Same is working over Dell make laptop with win7 os.

Hi,

maybe your tab-file is corrupted? Does your other tab-files work properly? As workaround you could use Universal Translator in MapInfo and convert MapInfo Tab to Esri Shape (for example). Try opening this in QGIS.
