[Qgis-user] Raster Properties, No stats collected yet

Hi,
In QGIS 2.6 raster - metadata - properties, I get "Band no x, No stats collected yet". How can they be generated?

It seem they are generated on a need to know basis and apparently... I don't need to know!  Work around is to use the processing but it's nice to have then in the metadata.  Any hint?

(Win7-64, Osgeo64 install.)
