What about creating a buffer ?
Vector>Geoprocessing tools>Buffers

Or in Processing> Tools> Fixed distance buffer or Variable distance buffer

Emne: [Qgis-user] drawing circles in Qgis2,8

Hi, I am trying to draw circles based on some GPS points that I have uploaded. Creating a new .shp as a polygon will only create a shape based on the number of points. How can I draw a circle based on these points? It is very easy in ArcGIS but I can't find how to do it in Qgis. Please help?

Thanks, Pete.
