[Qgis-user] GDAL Fill nodata Algorithm

Not sure.  Where do you see that?  A Mask is usually a raster file with zeros and ones.  It will permit you to cut or modify another raster to a specific shape by multiplying it to the mask.  I imagine a validity mask is asked if you what to first validate an area you want to modify.
