[Qgis-user] FW: installing QGIS 2.12.1

Hi, 
The usual culprit are the anti virus software or a bad download.  Uninstall QGIS, delete all qgis folder in the program files and in the hidden folder .qgis2 found in the user folder. Make sure Windows is up to date,  turn off anti virus software and redownload the installer.  
If that does not work, you can try with the OSGEO4W advanced install. It's not more complicated, it just give you more control. 
That would be the first thing to do before trying to understand the log (IMHO).
