So for a working QGIS and the GRASS that comes with it, just so I am clear:

1. Install GDAL 1.11
2. Install NumPy (included in the GDAL download, per the GDAL Readme)
3. Install Matplotlib Python 1.3.1-2
4. Install QGIS 2.6.1-2

Thanks -- Steven

Instructions (http://www.kyngchaos.com/software/qgis) say to install GDAL1.11, then Matplotlib Python, then QGIS. But the note says QGIS now includes GRASS, and other documentation says that GRASS needs other components like FreeType framework, etc. (http://www.kyngchaos.com/software/grass)
