[Qgis-user] Creating oblique views of QGIS layers

Hi,
I need to create a "layer stack" view of some QGIS vector data.
Is there a way to do this in QGIS?

(Rather like what you get when you Google "Images of GIS layer")


I want it for a printed map view, and be in place of a traditional 'Key' 
in the one corner of the map plot.
