Hi Akalya,
when asking a question, it’s always good practice to describe exactly *what* you have attempted in order to help list members to answer your question accurately and rapidly.
In your current case, what methods you have used to attempt the conversion in QGIS and the source and target coordinate reference systems (CRS) should be enough.
The QGIS version and operating system are always good bits of additional information as is the sources of information you have used to try and solve the problem yourself.
I don’t know what the abbreviation ‘DS’ means. But from what you describe you should resave the shapefile you’re interested in as a new shapefile. You will be able to change the CRS whilst resaving. Open the newly saved shapefile in QGIS and it will now have the CRS you chose.
