[Qgis-user] features disappearing when zoomed in

hi
i have this shapefile (a building shapefile, area type) that will disappear
from view when zoomed in. it happens only in certain spots, and it works
nice in others. of course the visibility based on scale is not set. is it a
known bug, or it is my shapefile who is corrupted after so many passages
and corrections in different softwares? how can i check out and fix it?
