Hi,

I do not know of a way to move a point to a certain coordinate.

For creation, there are several options:
Activate the Advanced Digitizing Panel (Right-click into the the menu bar).
When activating the Add Feature Button for your point layer, the panel
becomes active and you see a x and y-field.
Tick the locks behind them and enter the coordinates, then click into the
canvas and the point should be at the desired location.
You need at least QGIS 2.8 for that, for older versions this is a separate
plug-in.

See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QsjmLa16obs for some explanations.

For more points, use import as csv-file with Add Delimited Text Layer.
