[Qgis-user] QGIS 2.12 packaging for Ubuntu 14.04?

I understood the point of this thread was to discuss v2.12 for this platform - & it is not there for me.

So is QGIS v2.12 still not available as a standard package for (64 bit) Ubuntu Trusty/Mint Rebecca?
What is the recommended way to install 2.12 on this platform?

But we were talking about 2.12 not 2.8.  But:

So that looks fine to me.
