[Qgis-user] QGIS SQL and Python

Hello,
I have a project with qgis 2.10 and Spatialite. I want to create a "button" through python, wich conects with DB, creates a SQL queries and incorporate it to the project. I want create a pop-up to choosen a date to extract only those records.How could I do it?
