[Qgis-user] vector layer with wrong reference points

Hello,

I am a new "Qgis 2.0 1" user (with Zorin/ubuntu) and I am trying to adjust a topographic vector layer on a geological map.
I did the referencing of the geological map (UTM zone 35, WGS 1984) but the vector layer apparently used the UTM grid reference system instead of the longitude/latitude.
Is there a means of changing the vector layer reference points and/or transform the UTM grid reference to longitude/latitude ?

Another thing I don't understand: when referencing the scan of my geological map, the modified map in QGIS is shrank and look like an aerial view.
I did not try to get an output yet but I would rather prefer to keep the original shape of my scanned map (the UTM zone 35, WGS 1984 projection)
Is it possible to keep the original shape for the scanned map raster ?
Thanks for any help,
All the best
Jean-Luc
