[Qgis-user] Draw a polygon on a map, and retrieve it as a shapeFile

Hi All,

I have tried to draw a Polygon on WebOpenStreetMap Layer, to retrieve it in
the end as Polygon, for testing my java application.

I have used a *addVector**Layer *menu, then select *polygon, *then draw the
polygon and save as shapeFile.

The problem is that I retrieved a *Multipolygon on the shapeFile, and *not
Polygon ..

Would like to know how to retrieve a polygon only, since I am interested in
the intersection points of other geometries, and PostGIS Function which do
this functionality, expecting only *Polygon. *
