[Qgis-user] dataProvider().dataSourceUri() returns [url]|layerid=0

Good morning!

When trying to get the file's location from a vector layer likes this:
layer.dataProvider().dataSourceUri()

I get this:
/path/to/file/layer.shp|layerid=0

Why is there a pipe after the url?
