[Qgis-user] Any working geotag-plugin available?

Hi,
for long time, I didn't have to import geotagged images into QGIS.
Now that I try to, I seem to hit a dead end road, cause all plugins I  
tried crash or throw errors.

Photo2shape crashes QGIS completely

photo2kmz throws a python error:
KeyError: 2

Using QGIS 2.18.5 on Linux Mint

Any ideas how to solve this problem?
