[Qgis-user] Join a excel list of land parcel detials to GIS land parcel layer (Shape) with out details

Hi guys,

Gone though this tutorial
http://www.qgistutorials.com/en/docs/performing_table_joins.html and I am
able to join but the problem is I can't edit the details for the resulting
join table for the excl portion of the table. I can edit the fields on the
original shape file but not the fields from the join excel table.

Is there a way to edit them directly from the shape/join table?.
