[Qgis-user] removed IR filter.... unable to find ir band

Hi friends...
     i want to work on NDVI technology, for that i've converted a camera
(nikon coolpix L10) removed ir filter and added exposed film in front...
the output of the camera is JPG... how to get 4th band (IR color band)...
am i missing something while uploading the pic
