[Qgis-user] Metatools quick question

Just installed Metatools plugin 0.3.1 on Qgis for Windows 2.18.2.

 

Expected to be able to work with the 20 or so metadata entries I created for
various .shp files, but do not see a mechanism for this when I open the
plugin. I am now suspecting that Metatools only recognizes metadata it has
created. Or am I missing something?
