[Qgis-user] QGIS Oracle Connection Dialog: "include additional geometry attributes"

QGIS 2.18.3 64bit on Windows 10 64.

The Oracle Connection dialog has a checkbox whose textual description is:

"include additional geometry attributes"

The help text that appears when on presses the Help button does not include
anything to describe the effect of checking the box.

Can anyone enlighten me as to what "include additional geometry attributes"
does?
