You can simply add vector layer and path to your GPX file and select all parts and it will come like a shapefile.

I am trying to upload GPS points from a gpx file and trying to use the "GPS Tools" upload gpx file option. When I select the "Upload to GPS" tab, I cannot select a data layer to upload.
I have converted the gpx file to WGS84 coordinates and imported it to my GPS via BabelGPS, so I know the gpx file is OK but am trying to simplify the upload by using QGIS directly. Any suggestions?
