Hi Saber,
these issues also appear on clean installations with fresh start... 
the reports of these are often considered like local problems by the
developers... 
Moreover, these freezes are difficult to reproduce because it is difficult
to communicate 
via screencast a freeze (for a simple "save as") for 5min or more ...
during these freezes, if you check the system resources, you realize that
RAM and CPU used by QGIS are static.
So the user thinks he is doing QGIS if it does not respond but does not use
resources?

All this with 2.18 does not happen with the same data and the same
operations
