[Qgis-user] Geocode an Excel (.xlsx) spreadsheet?

Hi there,
I have a spreadsheet of voter addresses (50,000 records) which I would like to turn into a Shapefile.  
There are, however, no coordinates in the file. 
I am a very novice user so do not yet know my way around QGIS.
Does it have a geocoder that would help me do that?
