[Qgis-user] SHP/DBF provider filtering doesn't seem to work

Hi there,

on QGIS 3.4, 3.6 and master, the good old provider filtering on
shapefiles (DBF) doesn't seem to work: LEFT("RS", 5) = '05'

This doesn't return an error, but all the unfiltered features.
This is a bug, isn't it?
