[Qgis-user] Loss of scale after clipping

Nicolas Cadieux messaged me as follows:
"Could this just be a GUI thing?   Try closing QGIS and opening the file in
a new empty project.

I replied as follows:
"Hi Nicolas,
I have done what you said. Although it is a bit laborious to load everything
into a new project, it does seem to have worked.
So thanks very much for that advice.
I wonder what action set it off though?
