[Qgis-user] Same layer twice - only one editable in layer panel ?

Hi list.

I have a project, where the same layer is added twice (via WFS). The layers are completely identical, the only difference being the data provider filter.

One of the layer instances are editable in QGIS layer panel (the pencil button is active when layer is activated), while the other layers isn't (the pencil button is deactivated when the layer is activated).

This happens regardless of whether the layer is selected for viewing or not.

Why does this happen ?

Will QGIS not allow multiple instances of the same layers to be editable ?

The layer filters are very similar, one being "field like value" and the other "NOT(field like value)"
