[Qgis-user] Adding images to project raster layers

Hello,

Is there any way to add an image such as a jpeg file or preferably the
contents of the clipboard after a screen capture event, to a raster layer
directly without using a Print Layer? I would like to be able to do this
with the same ease that I can add a text box.
