[Qgis-user] data source is invalid

Hi!
Am i right that you "just" want to open a shapefile in QGIS?

First would be: who is the creator?
does the shapefile open where it has been created?
Are all necessary files available? (shapefile can be several files)

maybe you can use ogr2ogr to transform it into a valid shapefile.
