[Qgis-user] Strumento di geoprocessing "taglio"

Ciao Giada,

Facci sapere come e' andata!

Ciao
Davide

What makes the situation even more troublesome is release of dependencies at yet another schedule. So all too often we find ourselves stuck after a routine system update, with unresolved dependencies and partially or totally unusable software. This has happened with QGIS and the grass plugin, and recently with updates to proj4 and gdal.

Actually, a 2 year cycle will make this far, far more problematic.

An example is the proj library. QGIS 3.4 was developed using the older
proj v4 library, and while it's possible to build it using proj v 6 or
v7, it's not far from recommended. When proj v8 is released then it
will become completely impossible to build QGIS 3.4. If we tried to
squeeze another 12 months out of QGIS 3.4 then we'll bump into all
sorts of linux packaging issues as the underlying linux distros
upgrade to proj v6 or later. And that's completely out of our
control...

Hi
I'm migrating a Web Application from QGIS 2.18 to QGIS 3.4. In the old application we used sld_body- parameter in WMS request to add a custom layer (raster) to the qgis-project. The syntax is the following:
SLD_BODY : <SLD units="mm"><UserLayer><Name>scans_17273</Name><HostedRDS uri="/home/research/vogelatlas/data/scans/2019/3/inventory_17273.tif" epsg="2056"/><UserStyle><Name>style</Name></UserStyle></UserLayer></SLD>

In the error log there is no error but the result of the request is:
<ServiceException code="InvalidCRS">Could not create output CRS</ServiceException>

Does anybody know if UserLayer in sld_body is still supported in QGIS Server 3.4 or in a version > 3.4?

Thanks in advance for your information

My cursors have started flickering when moved. The flickering stops when the cursor is still but it is making it very hard to draw a polygon. I have tried restarting, resetting the gui, opening an older project and switching to another qgis version but the problem persists. I can see anything in the preferences which might be the casue. I am using 3.10 on a Macbook Pro running os Catalina.

And advice would be very welcome.

Hi,

I seem to always be looking at QGIS at the wrong time of year and once again I seem to have hit the magic LR/PR window where a new Long Term Release has been issued but is not yet showing as the long term release in the advanced installer. As usual my deadline is before the March release.

Qgis-ltr-full is currently still only giving me the option of 3.4. I know that I can click twice on the QGIS option instead of qgis-ltr-full and that will give me version 3.10.x but how do I know what other library versions I should be installing?

To give an example; in the past I've selected qgis-ltr-full then hit next to add the dependencies. I then head back and the install shows all the dependences it has selected like grass, python and GDAL for example. This allows me to see which additional ones I need, such as Oracle for example.

I don't have so much confidence when doing the same process in this one month window between the first and second releases so is anyone able to provide a definitive list of what should be selected to get the equivalent of qgis-ltr-full for version 3.10.x at the moment?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Paul

Hi,

Try rebooting the Mac, updating the OS, video drivers and mouse drivers. If you use two screens, put QGIS on another screen. Try another mouse, change the mouse batteries. Do you have the same problem with other software? Try working with Saga or Grass to see if you have the same problems.

qgis-ltr-full itself is empty and therefore it's version number doesn't really
matter. It's just a meta package that depends on a set of other packages - one
of them is qgis-ltr and that's at 3.10.x.
