That's issue number 1. You should be using at least QGIS 3.10.3. 2.18
is **ancient**.

This is issue number 2. Don't use the OpenLayers plugin, the
"QuickMapServices" plugin is better supported in modern QGIS versions
and generally an easier plugin to use.

 when i ask to display Google Maps or "API key Required" when i try to
display OSM/Thunderforest maps.
