[Qgis-user] Measure distance along line

 Jérémie,
That does sound like a cool feature.
The work around I would use is:

   - Create a Line Scratch Layer
   - Trace the path of interest (using the automagic trace feature in
   snapping)
   - Get the derived length by using the identify tool.
