[Qgis-user] FID issues with GPKG / Spatialite

To add further to the conversation about issues with conflicting FID 
fields in GPKGs.

This issue seems to be partly resolved with spatialite layers which begs 
the question of how it is not possible to have a similar automagical 
resolution capability implemented with GPKG so I suppose that must be 
down to the driver implementation from the external library (GDAL or 
something)?

Spatialite will sometimes (not always) generate a dialog box that gives 
the ability to automatically fix the problem. But it seems to be 
inconsistent; the attachment shows a time when the OK button is 
unavailable, meaing the automatic fix cannot be used.

So whilst it is great to have the automatic fix capability in spatialite 
there are times when it doesn't work either.
