Hi Sebastian,
AFAIK, GRASS GIS has not yet switched to the GeographicLib routines.
See the feature request https://github.com/OSGeo/grass/issues/1235 not 
yet closed and the related PR https://github.com/OSGeo/grass/pull/1283 
in draft status and not yet merged.

Hi Jarosław,
it seems to me the calculation of a polygon area on the ellipsoid was 
always not the same in different GIS software.
