[Qgis-user] QGIS not seeing any GUID fields belonging to geopackage tables that contain geometry fields.

I am building several interconnected geopackage tables.  I am using the JOIN function in QGIS (3.40.2, OSGeo4W, Windows 10) where I noticed that the GUID fields do not appear as possibilities, nor do they appear under Properties > Fields.  All my JOINS are with GUID fields.

With tables without geometries, the GUID fields appear and will join together nicely.  In Spatiallite.exe, looking at the same geopackage file, these GUID fields appear.  QGIS also recognizes these GUIDs in identical tables in PostGIS, where they are joined together nicely.

I would like help understanding how to get QGIS to recognize these GUID fields, or is this behavior a "feature"?
