[Qgis-user] QGIS crashes when accessing browser

I'm not sure if this is your problem, but there is a big issue when some remote directories are defined and you're offline.
A simple solution is to right-click on the directory in the QGIS Browser and disconnect it.
I often train new users in QGIS, and this problem has been recurring for at least 2 years, which is very, very discouraging for them.
I'm almost certain that many of them give up trying to use QGIS because of this issue.
It's a shame, and it would be great if this problem could be resolved.
