The Research Software Maintenance Fund might be an option. Unfortunately, the call for submissions for this year has just closed. It is worth remembering for you, or any other plugin developers, for next time, though.

Subject: [QGIS-Developer] How to get funding for maintaining these plugins

Folks,

I retired from government service last year primarily because they completely dropped open source GIS in favor of ESRI and I was close enough to retirement so I did. We are approaching QGIS 4 and Qt 6 and these plugins will need to be updated. Does anyone know how I could get funding to maintain the plugins? Here is the list of my plugins:

Lat Lon Tools
Shape Tools
KML Tools
Search Layers
Density Analysis
Date / Time Tools
Earth, Sun, Moon and Planets
MGRS Tools
Co-Traveler
D3 Data Visualization
Lock Zoom To Tile Scale
POI Exporter

Thanks,

Calvin
