[Qgis-user] Depricitated Plugin

Hello,
I recently installed a plugin called Google Maps  LocationSync.

https://github.com/hrko9gis/GoogleMapsLocationSync
When trying to recommend it to a colleague I discovered that it had been
deprecated. Is there a way to determine why it was depreciated?
